Runswick Bay Yoga and Yamuna Weekend with Nichi

4th to 7th October 2019

Another fantastic opportunity to join Nichi in the tranquil and stunning environment of Runswick Bay on the East Yorkshire coast.

Stay for two or three nights in the lower village in luxury accommodation. Breakfast and evening vegetarian meals provided. Choose between twin shared rooms, shared double or have a room to yourself in one of the cottages. Most have sea views. Above photo is a view from one of the houses we use.

3 yoga sessions with meditation and pranayama and two afternoon Yamuna body rolling sessions. It’s the perfect way to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Plenty of time for a cliff top walk to Staithes or Whitby on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

This is one of the most popular retreats that Nichi runs so early booking is advised.

You can book with £100 deposit. Full balance due by 31st August 2019

Shared room in Retreat House £250 per person

Cottage room in village £300 per person

Nichi has been running yoga retreats since 2003 and has taken groups to Sri Lanka, Portugal, Ibiza, Northumberland and the Lake District. Runswick is one of her favourite places to run a retreat. There are no cars, the bay is very sheltered and no light pollution. She is a registered Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, teaches online for Ekhart Yoga and has been sharing her love of yoga for over 17 years.

Reviews of the October 2018 Weekend with Nichi

The recent workshop was the first I have attended on yoga, whereas Sammy has been attending classes regularly over the last 6 months and practiced even before that. I really enjoyed the experience. Nichi pitched the classes at a level that was accessible to all and which allowed the more experienced to benefit too. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the weekend, but left feeling quite exhilarated and relaxed and delighted that I had sampled something that clearly makes a difference to one’s well-being. The body rolling was also superb, and for one who enjoys massage anyway, a revelation. I didn’t quite believe that the  stomach exercises would have an effect on my lower back, which can be  sore if pressed, and a problem for decades, but relief there was” Alistair

I booked on the Runswick Bay yoga retreat with my girlfriend. I’ve been on a Yoga Space retreat before, this was the first retreat for my girlfriend and neither of us had been to Runswick Bay before. Runswick Bay is the perfect place for a retreat. The small seaside village is picture postcard perfect with a long sandy beach, high cliffs and no cars in the village. You approach down a steep road and the bay opens up in front of you and takes your breath away. It’s just stunning. The house we stayed in had amazing views across the bay and out to sea from both the lounge and the bedrooms. The food was tasty and nutritious (and home cooked) dinner was held together in a beautiful chapel and breakfasts in your own cottage. The yoga started on Friday evening and Nichi put us at ease straight away. We had a mixed ability group and everyone was catered for beautifully. Then with meditation and yoga each morning and Yamuna body rolling each afternoon before dinner, time seemed to stand still for an idilic few days of peace, exercise, learning and harmony (with laughs, walks along the cliffs, afternoon teas and swims in the sea too!!) I can’t recommend Nichi, the retreat and Runswick Bay highly enough. We will be back just as soon as we can!John
