In these classes we’ll be exploring a wide range of yogasanas and pranayama through innovative sequencing, with and without props. Different threads and themes will be developed in each session. The class may be slow, fast, gentle, strenuous, relaxing, challenging, or all of the above! Inversions play a key role in Iyengar yoga and will be incorporated into every session. These classes are aimed at Iyengar yoga practitioners, but all experienced yogis are welcome. People with injuries or medical conditions must contact Myka in advance to discuss whether the class would be appropriate. Not suitable for beginners.
Attendees will need to have a minimum set of yoga equipment: a sticky mat, 1-2 blankets, 2 yoga bricks, 2-4 yoga blocks, 1-2 yoga straps. Access to a plain wall, a bolster, and a chair suitable for yoga is optional but recommended.
