Angela is an experienced yoga teacher who joined her first yoga class in 1998 and that’s where her journey began! A curiosity about the human mind and personal struggles with anxiety led Angela to Leeds university to study Psychology, where she graduated in 2004 with a first class BSc (Hons). While undergoing counselling for anxiety, Angela became intrigued with the similarities between Mindfulness and Yoga. The effective combination of these techniques led Angela to train as a Yoga teacher here at the Yoga Space in 2013 and she is proud to have been teaching here ever since! Angela is passionate to share her love and experience of yoga with a hope it can help others find calm and clarity when faced with the challenges of life.
Angela will warmly welcome you to a relaxed class-setting where she will encourage you to focus on your breath and explore the sensations in your body so you can embrace what works for you. Mindfulness is at the heart of all of Angela’s classes, which often have a focus on a particular posture or theme, but always with the intention of feeling good 🙂 You will build confidence from Angela’s detailed attention to the function and alignment of postures, which encourages you to nurture and celebrate your individuality to find your own path to peace.
