Ella Mesma

Ella first discovered yoga at the University of Leeds in 2002. After completing her dance training at the London School of Contemporary Dance in 2009, she was invited to join her teacher Dr Abby Hoffman as her first follower on a 200 hour teacher training course (Embodied Dancer 2011) with a Gil Clarke scholarship, and she will be forever grateful to Dr Hoffman for setting her on this path and the guidance this course gave her.

Since graduating as a teacher in 2013, she has taught dance companies and businesses in London, Lisbon and Newcastle. Whilst living in Newcastle, Ella met Mileva Donachie who introduced her to Ashtanga Yoga and she fell in love with the style. She has since studied, assisted Mileva, and covered for Mileva’s classes and has continued her Ashtanga practise whilst living in Lisbon, and now that she has relocated to Leeds.

She is also a dancer, choreographer and coach and is passionate about supporting people to be at their optimum health of mind body and soul.

Ella teaches Vinyasa and Ashtanga styles of yoga, and her HOME Series of 7 Movement Meditations inspired by the chakras. In addition to her initial 200 hour yoga teacher training she is also qualified to teach Kundalini Yoga with the Karam Kriya school.
Ella teaches the Wednesday Flow 5.15pm-6.15pm
