Lakes Yoga + Wild Swimming June 23rd-26th June 2023

Join Nichi for yoga, swimming and walking in the gorgeous Lake District. A retreat not to be missed we will be staying in bunkhouse accommodation in the ground of Rydal Hall just across from Rydal water.

All food, yoga teaching,guided swimming and walks is included. ( apart from Sunday eve dinner)You can of course always opt to do your own thing in your free time.Transport is not included but lift sharing can be arranged and it is easy to get the train to Windermere. A bus from the station takes only 20 minutes.

You need a good general level of fitness to attend this retreat and must have good hiking boots, waterproof and a swimming float. ( wetsuit if you dont like cold water!!)

Bunkhouse Accommodation is in large shared bunkbed rooms but with no more than 6 or 4 in a room. It is a luxury bunkhouse with a wood burning stove and plenty of space but you will have to share. All bedding is provided- you will need to bring towels. Price per person is £275 for this option.

Suggested Schedule:


2pm Meet at Rydal and go for a swim in Rydal water.

4pm Cup of tea and settle into bunkhouse. Orientation and welcome.

5.30-6.30pm Hatha Yoga

7.45pm Veggie/Vegan dinner


8am-10.30am Meditation, Vinyasa Yoga and Pranayama

11am Brunch

12.30pm Local swim

5pm Cup of tea and cake.

5.30pm Restorative and Yin Yoga

7.45pm Dinner


8.30am-10.30am Meditation, Vinyasa Yoga and Pranayama

11am Brunch

12.30pm Swim in Grasmere or Rydal

4.30pm Partner Yoga and Massage ( you dont need to be with a partner to do this!!)

7:45pm Dinner at local pub ( not included in price)


7.30am Swim in Rydal water.

8.30am Breakfast

10am Departures- optional local walk

About Nichi

Nichi has been running yoga retreats for the last 19 years. She has organised over 50 retreats, choosing places that she loves that are beautiful, quiet and soothe the soul. She loves the sea, the lakes and the mountains so you can expect to be very close to nature on these holidays. She loves bringing people together and sharing her passion for yoga in wonderful surroundings where you can switch off and deeply relax. Nichi’s retreats have been life changing for me over the past few years. As a Type A, always on the go, never able to stop and switch off, Nichi has taught me the value in slowing down, be it through Yoga or meditation. 
Nichi’s retreats are a chance to do exactly that, switch off from the rest of the world, fully emerging yourself into rest and relaxation, coupled with the Yang of the Yoga flow. 
Missed these retreats so much in lockdown I am delighted they are running again.
