Pratibha Ahuja- Pregnancy Yoga

My name is Pratibha, and I believe that you don’t choose Yoga; Yoga chooses you. Born and raised in a small Himalayan town in India, Yoga was always a way of life, and it continues to be so. From the age of 5, I was introduced to the traditional paths of spirituality and self-connection by my parents and gurus. I learned and practiced meditation, mantra chanting, bhakti (devotion), and service as part of my daily life.

However, when I moved to the UK, life became fast-paced, and I found myself immersed in the corporate world. Over time, I felt the pull to reconnect with myself and find peace in the present moment, rather than constantly chasing after the next goal. This inner calling led me to gather the courage to leave my corporate HR career behind.

I’m grateful and proud to have completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Space with Nichi and her team in 2020. This training gave me the foundation to teach various styles of Yoga, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Ashtanga, Pranayama, and Meditation. Later, I pursued an 85-hour Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training with the award-winning Sally Parkes Yoga. This was a pivotal moment as I was offered the opportunity to run a series of sessions as part of an NHS, Leeds Teaching Hospitals, and Public Health-funded research project in Leeds.

As a teacher, I guide my students intuitively, creating a safe and supportive space where they can truly be themselves and reconnect with their inner selves. Each class becomes an opportunity to inspire balance, cultivate physical and mental strength, and foster freedom in both mind and body. My sessions are a harmonious blend of breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, and movement.

Pratibha teaches our pregnancy yoga classes on a Thursday evening 6:15pm-7:15pm during the school terms. Her next course starts on the 1st of May. Book here

From Nichi

Of all the teachers I have trained over the last 15 years, Pratibha has been one of the most determined and industrious graduates I have ever met. Her passion for all things yoga shines in her teaching and I know that she will take great care of her students and hold a wonderful space for them and their growing babies.”
