Join Nichi for yoga, swimming and walking in the gorgeous Lake District. A retreat not to be missed we will be staying in the bunk house in t and coach house in the grounds of Rydal Hall just across from Rydal water.
All food, yoga teaching,guided swimming and walks are included.Transport is not included but lift sharing can be arranged and it is easy to get the train to Windermere. A bus from the station takes only 20 minutes.
Accommodation in the bunkhouse is in dormitory style accommodation- maximum in a room is 4 in the larger rooms. Camping may be available. Just check with Nichi first when booking.
Food is provided- 2 evening meals, 2 lunches and 3 breakfasts. We will eat in the local pub on one of the evenings ( this is not included)
Pricing:
Bunkhouse Shared Room- £320 per person for three nights accommodation. Accommodation is in shared rooms sleeping a maximum of 4 people. Rooms are large so there is plenty of space.
Coach House-More luxurious accommodation in the grounds of Rydal Hall.
Twin room £395 per person.
Shared double £550 between 2 people
Sofa bed in 2nd lounge £320 for 1 person
Camping place £150 ( this does not include your camping pitch)
Modern and comfortable the bunkhouse will accommodate up to 13 of the group on this retreat so you will have plenty of space across the bedrooms. All beds have memory foam mattresses. You need to bring your own bedding ( duvet or sleeping bag and single sheet) a pillow and pillow case is provided. The bunkhouse is set in the grounds of rydal and has a drying room and a large lounge area.
You need a good general level of fitness to attend this retreat and must have good hiking boots, waterproof and a swimming float. ( a wetsuit if you don’t like cold water!!) You must also be able to swim.
Schedule
Friday
2pm Meet at Rydal and go for a swim in Rydal water.
4pm Cup of tea and settle into accommodations. Orientation and welcome.
5.30-6.30pm Hatha Yoga
7.45pm Veggie/Vegan dinner
Saturday
8am-10.00am Meditation, Vinyasa Yoga and Pranayama
10:30am Brunch
12:00-1:30pm Yoga Workshop
2:00pm – Drive to Grasmere. Hike up to Easedale tarn and swim. Solstice celebration and picnic. ( weather dependant). This is a steep hike and good walking shoes are needed. You will also be carrying your swim gear, food and water so a good level of fitness is required.
Option to walk up to higher peak depending on how the group level.
Sunday
8-9:30am Meditation, Vinyasa Yoga and Pranayama
10am Breakfast.
11am local walk and swim- Loughrigg tarn or Rydal water
4:00pm Restorative Yoga
6pm Dinner at pub
Monday
8am Swim Rydal Water
9am Breakfast and departures
About Nichi
Nichi has been running yoga retreats for the last 21 years. She has organised over 60 retreats, choosing places that she loves that are beautiful, quiet and that soothe the soul. She loves the sea, the lakes and the mountains so you can expect to be very close to nature on these holidays. She loves bringing people together and sharing her passion for yoga in wonderful surroundings where you can switch off and deeply relax.
